KL Saracens Storm celebrate their Liga KRS Diamond 2 Bowl victory
KL Saracens finished the Liga KRS season with appearances in three finals on Sunday 29th April 2018, the culmination of a very busy regular season and knock-out competition in both Division One and Division Two. First up were KL Saracens Storm who took on KRAS in the Liga KRS Diamond 2 Bowl Final at SMK Kelana Jaya, and got the day off to a great start with a 43-10 victory.
Next up at Kelana Jaya were KL Saracens Academy who were playing Alma in the Plate Final of Liga KRS Diamond 2. The young guns gave another great account of themselves in their first season of senior rugby, but could not quite match Alma’s upfront firepower on the day and ended up the wrong side of a 19-8 scoreline.

At the same time, KL Saracens 1st XV were taking on KL Tigers in the Liga KRS Diamond 1 Cup Final at SMSS, a game in which the Saracens boys never really got into their stride, going down 25-0 to a well-drilled Tigers outfit.

This marks the end of what has been a transformational season for KL Saracens, the 1st XV returning to more competitive form and four teams now regularly playing 15-a-side senior fixtures at the same time, two of them under the umbrella of the newly formed Academy section. The KLS mantra of All4RugbyRugby4All is now firmly established within the Seniors’ section and, with an abundance of talent at the younger end of the spectrum, an exciting future looks to be in store for the club.
Congratulations to all teams on their performances this KRS season, and good luck to the 1st XV in the Malaysia Rugby Division 2 competition which starts in July.
