KL Triangular 10s at Padang Merbok on 27th April 2019
There has been no let up in activity as the club heads towards the season break for Ramadan, with the U6-U10 age groups participating in a triangular festival with fellow KL clubs KL Tigers and Cobrats last Saturday morning whilst the 1st XV played their last pool game of the Rebel XVs in the afternoon. The Triangular 10s was a great morning of rugby, with most age groups for all three clubs able to field two teams, ensuring plenty of game time for all players. There was a real festival atmosphere and even Barbarian teams fielded as players from the three clubs mixed and matched to vary the opposition. Many thanks to our counterparts at Tigers and Cobrats for helping to organise the event, something that all agreed should definitely be repeated soon!

In the afternoon, KL Saracens 1st XV battled to a 19-28 loss to hosts UPNM in the final round of the Rebel XVs league. This was on the back of a narrow 22-19 win over SA Rovers the week before and, despite the loss, KLS qualify for the final of the tournament on 4th May which will also be against UPNM. This has been a very closely fought competition and, if KL Saracens can eliminate some of the errors from last weekend’s fixture, a tournament victory is still very much within reach – good luck boys!
